Natural energy wonders

A natural energy wonder is unique in terms of its type, size, rate, or impact on the physical and biological processes of the planet.  Examples include the Sun, the principal energy input to Earth, photosynthesis, the source of most food energy, and nuclear fission and fusion, two of the most powerful energy conversion processes in the Universe.  Natural energy wonders drive the Earth systems that make life itself possible, and that create the energy and material resources that sustain our economic existence.
