an Ecuadorean tanker that ran aground on rocks off the Galapagos Islands in 2001, releasing about two-thirds of its cargo of 240,000 gallons of oil. The accident occurred in the prophetically named Shipwreck Bay, outside the harbor of San Cristobal Island.
